There’s a lot going on over here at Evidon, and I thought I’d give you an overview of some of the more exciting changes and enhancements.
Certification
Over the winter, we were explicitly approved to run on Google’s Ad Exchange. In a nutshell, this means that running our tags on ads on the exchange is hassle-free for buyers or sellers. Sometimes buyers have to “declare” their use of certain technology vendors on the Exchange if a certain percentage of sellers have expressed concerns about those vendors. No declaration is needed to use Evidon InForm, so running your OBA-compliant campaigns is easy, and they’ll deliver without any restriction. We’re certified as an accepted third-party vendor on other exchanges and networks as well, such as Yahoo! and Right Media. If there are other environments you want to run campaigns in and you’re curious about certification requirements, just let our team know at adops@evidon.com.
Technology Partnerships
We’ve also been partnering with various technology vendors to help streamline the workflow process by making it easier to include our tags in their systems. For instance, we know a lot of our clients also use delivery verification services. As a result, we’ve partnered with:
- Adometry
- AdSafe
- AdXpose
Now, if you use any of those systems, our tags can be included at the verification level, and you’ll only have to traffic the one verification tag. We’ve been doing similar work with rich media vendors, most notably with Google and PointRoll, to make it easier to include our tags in their rich media ads.
Product
This takes us to some of our recent Evidon InForm product enhancements. Since we don’t believe in “one size fits all,” we’ve been working on different versions of our tags that work well in different environments. Because of this work, we now support ActionScript 2 and ActionScript 3 versions of our tags, as well as our standard JavaScript tags. This way, both creative shops and rich media vendors have the flexibility of working with the tags directly in the creative files as well. We’ve also simplified our JavaScript tags to use a Single URL format instead.
Another product enhancement we’ve recently released is to allow information in the tags to override the information originally set up in our system. This allows users to change the location of how the notice is displayed from the tag itself. We’re continuing to enhance this functionality, so that users will potentially be able to override any information from the tag. We’re looking at combining this with ad server functionality, in order to make a much more dynamic notice experience
We have so many new enhancements, it’s hard to go into too much detail on each one! Here’s the full list of great new features:
- ActionScript tags for including our notice
- A new single URL format for the JavaScript tag
- Over-riding the notice position from the tag
- Support for handling the new European Union OBA requirements
- Functionality for supporting pharmaceutical advertising requirements
- The expandable icon is now allowed on all creative sizes
- UI improvements in our console, such as being able to copy notices or archive old notices
- A new “billing code” field to let users batch notices together for invoicing
If you have any questions about any of these items – or any feedback about features you’d like to see – please let us know [adops@evidon.com]. We have a two week development release cycle, so we’re rolling out new functionality all of the time. What we work on and when is heavily influenced by our clients, so we highly value your feedback!

[...] In order to continue to propagate its Online Behavioral Ads (OBA) compliance solution, Evidon's Kristen Chapman announced on her company's blog that it has partnered with ad verification companies AdSafe Media, Adometry and AdXpose. Evidon is in competition with TrustE and DoubleVerify among others who look to offer a way for advertisers, publishers and their partners to comply with opt-out capabilities stipulated by the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) as part of the industry's self-regulation initiative.
